Individual Speech
You are a student at the University of Graz preparing a lecture about agricultural policy in the United States. Your audience is unfamiliar with American farming, so you provide an 8-10 minute intro. You want to cover:
- What are the most significant agricultural products in the USA, and how are they used?
- Highlight major differences between Agriculture in the US and in Austria. Give possible explanations for some of these differences.
- Suggest changes that could make American agriculture more sustainable.
Dialogue You have recently returned from practical training on an organic American farm. When you return, you are excited to talk about your experience with other returning interns and Austrian farmers. In a 4-5 minute dialogue, you discuss:
- Analyze how agricultural output varies between different regions of the United States.
- Compare organic agriculture & food labelling in the US and Europe.
- Talk about movements to establish smaller American farms.
